Ujiie Yu Yu Park (Yuuyuu Park)
Ujiie Yu Yu Park—also known as Kinugawa River Park—is a riverside park created on the Kinugawa River’s riverbed as a project commemorating the 100th anniversary of the former Ujiie Town’s municipal system. With the Nikko Mountains and the Nasu Mountains as a backdrop, it’s a relaxing place to pause and enjoy the gentle flow of the Kinugawa River.
Nearby are Sakura Tsutsumi, Katsuyama Castle Ruins, and the Sakura City Museum—Arai Hirokata Memorial Hall.
Ujiie Yu Yu Park Sakura Festival
The “Sakura Festival” is held every year at Yuuyuu Park. During the festival period:
- Food stalls (tent shops) line the area.
- Stage performances of songs and dances are held every Saturday and Sunday:
- 11:00–13:00 (daytime)
- 17:00–19:00 (evening)
At night, the cherry blossoms are illuminated, creating a fantastical atmosphere.

- Katsuyama Park Bridge
The Katsuyama Park Bridge connects Katsuyama Park and Ujiie Yuuyuu Park, offering panoramic views of the Kinugawa River, Nikko, the Nasu Mountain Range, and Takaharayama. In the center is the “Musubi Bell,” where couples make wishes—said to bring happiness when they hold the string and ring the bell.
- Ujiie Yu Yu Park Cosmos
Along the walking path (about 2 km), a cosmos field comes into full bloom from mid to late October. Enjoy a leisurely stroll with views of the Kinugawa River and surrounding mountains such as the Nikko Mountains and Takaharayama, alongside the cosmos flowers.
